Our Commitments

ESG & Sustainability

Responsible sourcing. Transparent operations.

Commodity trading carries weight beyond price and tonnage. We believe responsible sourcing, environmental care, and ethical conduct are inseparable from long-term value. Our approach is built on transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement across every cargo we handle.

Our ESG Pillars

Four principles guiding every decision.

Environmental Stewardship

Minimising the footprint of every shipment, from origin loading through to discharge, and supporting decarbonisation across our value chain.

Social Responsibility

Safe working conditions, inclusive growth, and meaningful engagement with the communities where our materials are sourced.

Ethical Governance

Compliance, integrity, and strong governance in everything we do, with clear processes and independent oversight.

Responsible Sourcing

Working only with vetted producers and partners who share our commitment to sustainability, traceability, and ethical operations.

Our Approach

Integrated into every transaction.

ESG considerations are part of how we evaluate new producers, structure contracts, manage logistics, and engage with stakeholders. They are not a separate workstream or an end-of-year report. They are reviewed at the same table as price and Incoterms.

We track our own progress publicly and we expect the same of the partners we trade with.

Where We Focus

What this looks like in practice.

Four impact areas where our policies translate into day-to-day decisions.

01
Climate & Energy

Improving energy efficiency in shipping, prioritising low-carbon routing where possible, and advancing the use of cleaner marine fuels across our bunker operations.

02
People & Communities

Health and safety at every loading site, fair labour standards across our supply network, and direct contributions to education and local development in source regions.

03
Responsible Sourcing

Full traceability from mine or refinery to port. Independent third-party inspection on every cargo. No tolerance for material from sanctioned or non-compliant origins.

04
Biodiversity & Land

Protecting ecosystems near extraction and processing sites, and partnering with producers who hold recognised environmental and land stewardship certifications.
